I have been greatly enjoying the transition of the leaves from green to red. Of course, I have never seen anything like it before and the experience of something new leaves me full of hope that I haven't seen everything, haven't experienced everything, haven't felt everything there is for me to feel just yet.
It has officially been one week since I moved to the UK. This country is impossible in its beauty, so much so that part of me is convinced that it isn't real. In my mind, I am walking in a daydream, still waiting for morning to come and I'll wake up in my bed at home, Kaz scratching at the door and Milo patiently waiting for me to come out. I miss them very much.
Leaving Vigan made my heart heavy; how do I tell everyone just how much they mean to me? How do I evade the shame of vulnerability and boldly tell the people I love that they have changed me in the little big ways that they have shown their kindness?
I thought that I've forgotten what it is to focus on a project and actually work at building it every day. I wish the same ardour for my writing, although one never seems to wish these sorts of things away.
I am feeling so extremely excited at the prospect of this new frontier. I thought this pocket of the internet was forever lost, and yet here I am. Back at yet another precipice.
Please bear with me in setting up this site to be as up and running as I can possibly make it! And to make sure I remember, let me say: this place is not to be the dwelling of perfect, literary writing. This place is for magic and curiosity, and it shall not demand more than it ought.
